The Artist Known as James Lindsey
The voice of Louisville as I refer to him. He is truly one within his own. James brings a sound of the past fused with an upbeat funk, mixed with steady cuts & beats on top of his aesthetic lyrics. Even while listening to a recording listeners feel like there at a live show. A few seconds into a James Lindsey record your back begins to rock back and forth, followed by head bob as you adapt to the groove. I can't make this up, True Story! One could say his live stage presences lives through his music. For me personally I was amazed seeing him perform live for the first time. We both chatted briefly before the performance and as show time set in The Artist had entered his zone. I watched as he tuned his band, "The Grand Nationals" making sure everyone was on one accord. Something similar to what the legend James Brown would do with his band. Could there be any relation here?? Before I knew it he was in full swing and by swing I mean Dreadlocks flying, OG Retro 1's in the Air, and turning a festival into The "James Lindsey" Experience. Needless to say I was shocked at how James formally known as JaLin Roze flipped the switch moments after a conversation and delivered a performance like no other. Please give a listen and follow him on Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube.
